A boxed set of pottery and porcelain Japanese chaire or tea caddies, consisiting of two chaire and two tea scoops, dating to the last 50 years. the first chaire measures 2 1 1/4 ins. and is covered with a yellow-brown Seto glaze on fine, creamy clay with a black glazed top. The second chaire measures 2 1/2 ins. across X 1 in. high and has a crackled, cream glaze interior, a black exterior and three cuts in the foot. The lid is signed on the interior in black. The top has a unique bamboo knot handle. The wooden box measures 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 6 1/2 and is signed and sealed on the front.
