<p><b>A fine Japanese tea caddy made of tin, measuring 5 ins. overall in height, dating to the 19th - 20th century.</b> The caddy is coated with a layer of brown-red lacquer. It is accented by both flat and raised gold and tree-bark lacquer in a bird in tree design. The top has a stylized lion finial. There is an interior cap to the compartment. There is loss of some of the lacquer on the reverse and some overall scratches. |
