Two Chinese porcelain bowls being offered for one price. The first is a finely made Chinese bowl of pure white porcelain covered on the exterior in a yellow glaze enhanced with inscribed and overglaze enameled designs of vines and flowers with four roundels of dragons and birds with flaming pearls, dating to the mid 20th century. The bowl has a multicolor Greek key uppoer border. It measures 6 3/4 x 2 3/4 ins. The inner glaze has a few black specks but is otherwise in perfect condition. The base bears a four-character Chien Lung reign mark in overglaze red enamel, but the bowl does not date from this era. Its characteristics are more of those found in a fine turn of the century copy. <p>The second is a beautiful Chinese conical bowl with black underglaze and multicolor overglaze enamels in a flower and vine design on a pure white porcelain body, measuirn 7 x 3 ins. The bowl has a 20th century Jingdezhen mark on the base and is a fine example of the best of modern Chinese porcelain. It is in excellent and original condition. |
