A fine Chinese Export wine cup, measuring 2 1/2 X 1 1/4 ins., dating to the 18 - mid 19th century. The cup has a scalloped edge with brown dressing. It is decorated in a typical period design in overglaze enamels of peaches and yellow flowers. There are alternating lotus panels of fruits encircling the base. A two-character mark on the base in Zhuanshu script reads: Da Qinq, or Great Ching. See Schiffer’s, Chinese Export Porcelain. Standard Patterns and Fortms, 1780-1880 for cups of similar shape and design.
