A Japanese lacquer palanquin, or chair with poles, measuring approximately 10 ins. in length and 5 ins. high, dating to around 1950. The chair was part of a set of lacquer items that accompanied a girls’s Hina dolls received on Girl’s Day. The body of the palanquin is decorated in floral scroll patterns with gold lacquer. It comes with its own storage box. It is in fine and original condition.
