A Chinese bronze mug, measuring 8 1/2 x 5 ins. The mug was cast in the shape of a lion or dragon with the tongue extending up to form the handle. The interior shows old, encrusted dirt accumulation from burial. The exterior has a rich, green-brown patina. Although of early Chinese design, I believe that this mug is a more recent copy made within the last 100 years.
